The Herbs releases
All 13 episodes were available on VHS.
But not all on one tape.
And there was also more than one company involved in releasing them.
So we actually got 7 seperate releases with plenty of episode duplication.
And all from 1989,except for the last one which is 1990.
The fact that any came out at all is almost entirely due to the efforts of Simon Mayo and Sybil Ruscoe,who championed the series on their BBC Radio One show.
Not any sort of commercial endorsement of course.But just the result of a burgeoning discussion about old kids tv.
They feature on the sleeves of both the 2nd row examples,below,because they took their involvement one step further for those two and actually filmed some specially shot footage to link the episodes.
